• Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists, 2.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
• Unit is covered by 2 Neos and 1 NNP (7a-7p) during the day and 1 Neo at night
o Neos split the NICU patients based on acuity
o NNP covers normal newborns and helps with NICU if census permits
• HDH 2016 Data: Deliveries - 3,832; NICU Admits - 392; NICU ADC – 22.4
• High frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, surgical patients, total body cooling
• No cardiac surgery, except for PDAs, no ECMO; On-site Cardiology, VCU subspecialists
