Envision Physician Services is seeking a full-time, board certified Neonatologist Medical Director for our Level III NICU practice at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital (HDH) in Richmond, Virginia. In October 2017, the hospital revealed their new pride and joy, a state of the art NICU with 32-single family rooms and 8-bed step-down unit. Our team at HDH consists of long-time partners with a well-trained and stable nursing team. The ideal candidate is someone with leadership experience who knows how to approach change within the unit with an open, approachable, and team-oriented style. The candidate must be proficient clinically and able to balance both clinical and administrative duties.

Details about the opportunity/NICU are listed below:

• Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists, 2.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners

• Unit is covered by 2 Neos and 1 NNP (7a-7p) during the day and 1 Neo at night

o Neos split the NICU patients based on acuity

o NNP covers normal newborns and helps with NICU if census permits

• HDH 2016 Data: Deliveries - 3,832; NICU Admits - 392; NICU ADC – 22.4

• High frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, surgical patients, total body cooling

• No cardiac surgery, except for PDAs, no ECMO; On-site Cardiology, VCU subspecialists
