Libertas Group is currently interviewing candidates to become the Director of Research at the Newborn Brain Research Institute and the Division of Neonatology at the University of California, San Francisco. As Director of Research for the NBRI, the appointee must demonstrate the desire, experience, and expertise to nurture and develop the groupís basic and translational research programs. He or she will be appointed at the Associate or Full Professor rank and will participate in teaching and mentoring activities for trainees and junior faculty.

Our ideal candidate is board certified in Neonatology or Pediatric Neurology, has at least 5 years of experience running his or her own lab, has achieved the rank of Associate Professor or higher and can demonstrate a history of securing independent research funding. Board certification in Neonatology and Bench Research are preferred. The new Director of Research may be put forward for a Benioff Chair.

The Economist Intelligence Unit lists San Francisco among the top 20 most livable cities in the world based on a variety of indexes including green spaces, natural and cultural assets, health care, education and clean air.
