Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation's premier healthcare institutions, is recruiting an academic Board Certified/Eligible Neonatal and Pediatric Hospitalist with strong clinical and teaching skills. Academic career development will be expected and supported and may include research, education or clinical program development. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is an academic Level IV facility serving the Greater Los Angeles area. The NICU admits over 700 infants annually. The NICU faculty team is dedicated to the career development of medical students, pediatric residents and junior faculty. Current faculty are engaged in productive research in neonatal immunobiology, stem cell biology, inflammation and fibrosis, lung injury, ROP, clinical trials, quality improvement and neonatal and pediatric health care delivery. Our faculty is committed to excellence in compassionate patient care, research, and educational programs that improve newborn health. The selected candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment at the appropriate level in the Cedars-Sinai Professorial Series and at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

* MD Degree and eligible for California Medical License

* Board certification in General Pediatrics

* Prior experience as a Neonatal & Pediatric Hospitalist preferred but not required

* Aptitude and accomplishment in clinical program development, Resident/Fellowship education, healthcare outcomes research into mechanisms of human disease or translational investigation research

* Evidence of longer term scholarly intent
