Division Chief, Neonatology, Orlando, Florida

Nemours is seeking a Neonatologist to join our staff in the Division of Neonatology at Nemours Children's Hospital (NCH) in Orlando with the potential for a leadership role serving NCH and community outreach, based on experience, expertise and interest. Physician candidates must be board-certified in Neonatology and eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License. Compensation and benefits will be competitive.

The division is composed of a collaborative group of neonatologists and advanced practitioners in a Level IIIC all-private room NICU at NCH, offering a full range of services, including HFOV, HFJV, iNO and whole body cooling, with access to a comprehensive range of pediatric subspecialists, specialists in maternal fetal medicine and interventional radiology, and a full surgical program, including neonatal interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery. Support staff include a unit-based pharmacist, dietician, respiratory therapist, OT and PT. The division also staffs Level II NICUs at leading hospitals serving the communities where our families live and work. A vibrant set of air and ground transport teams complements our service. We are members of the Vermont Oxford Network and active participants in the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative.

Responsibilities include clinical care of NICU patients, recruitment and retention of well-trained and qualified professional staff to the division, optimization of clinical operations in the NICU, mentorship of our team of faculty and advanced practitioners, practice management (including achieving productivity and safety targets and physician and family satisfaction scores), and support of the educational and research activities of the Division of Neonatology and Department of Pediatrics. The candidate is responsible for contributing to an environment that enhances the professional development of her/his division members with the goal of achieving a highly motivated team.

The candidate will be attentive and responsive to the professional needs of the faculty, nurture staff in their professional development, and monitor work-life balance with the goal of achieving the best possible opportunities for professional advancement and satisfaction. In addition, the candidate will represent the "face" of Nemours in their specialty and will build external relationships, expand the sphere of influence, advocate for improvements and change within the specialty, and seek external support and philanthropy.

For confidential consideration, please submit formal CV to: Caroline Chua, MD, Medical Director, Division of Neonatology, caroline.chua@nemours.org.
