Are you seeking an opportunity to work with a world-class interdisciplinary team of medical professionals? Do you have interest in teaching and staying current in all aspects of the field through post-graduate interaction? Dr. Jeffrey Maisels, Chairman, Department of Pediatrics at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan seeks a Neonatologist to join a stable and expanding group in a primarily clinical role.
Located in Detroit's northern suburbs, Beaumont Hospital admits more patients than any hospital in the US. You will provide neonatology services to Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak and Beaumont Hospital-Troy. In 2004, a new, state-of-the-art, Level III, 66-bed NICU with 18 private rooms opened at the Royal Oak facility. With complete medical and pediatric surgical subspecialty support including pediatric surgery, pediatric ENT, pediatric urology, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric radiologists, neuroradiologists and interventional radiologists, the hospital is a valuable community resource for your patients and their families. You will enjoy a faculty appointment (which will change to The Oakland University William Beaumont Medical School in 2010 when they admit the first class), a collegial working environment and support from an excellent nursing staff.
The northern suburbs of Detroit are beautiful and safe, family-oriented communities with excellent schools, both public and private. Students in the Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools consistently score well in the MEAP, and the high school students' ACT score composites are higher than both the state and national averages. Choose to live in Royal Oak, a city that feels like a town, full of front porches, sidewalk cafes, Peewee hockey, nature walks and parades right out of a Norman Rockwell painting; Bloomfield Hills, which consistently ranks as one of the Top 5 wealthiest cities in the US; Troy, the safest city in Michigan and among the Top 10 safest cities in the Nation; or Birmingham, which has a lively, pedestrian-friendly downtown offering one of the Midwest's premiere shopping districts.
And within just 30-45 minutes you can enjoy all Detroit has to offer...Ford Field (Detroit Lions new home), Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers new stadium), a remodeled Renaissance Center and a renewed Detroit Science Center. Some of the legendary favorites include The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Henry Ford Museum, Eastern Market and Hart Plaza summer festivals. ID#30846.
