Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) and its affiliated Faculty Practice Plan (FPP) are seeking a board certified/board eligible neonatologist to join the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

In this position you will join a well-established group of neonatologists at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The newly appointed physician will also rotate through the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the John Dempsey Hospital. In addition to patient care, physicians participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education as well as clinical and basic science research.

Interested candidates should be board certified/board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics and have a proven record of clinical, educational, and research excellence.

Connecticut Children's Medical Center is a 135 bed, free-standing children's hospital with a 32 bed NICU. CCMC maintains a Division of Research, a research center and serves as a satellite for the General Clinical Research Center for the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. Additionally, it is the home of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine residency program in pediatrics and pediatric surgical specialties.

The JDH NICU is a 50 bed facility for preterm and term infants with health conditions requiring comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Since 1975, the JDH Newborn Intensive Care Nurseries have cared for more than 12,000 babies and was the first neonatal program to serve the northern and central regions of Connecticut.

In this position you will be eligible for appointment at a rank commensurate with experience at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine.
