#17659 - This small Illinois hospital in a close-knit community just southeast of St. Louis has a job opportunity for locum tenens coverage for their solo Neonatologist. The doctor is taking vacation in the fall and will need locums coverage for a 2-3 week period. This opportunity is a level II NICU with an average census of three babies, but with the potential to be busier. They will keep babies on ventilators, but if extended care is required the baby is transported to St. Louis. The doctors will take call from a local hotel; however, if a baby is on a ventilator, Illinois law requires the doctor to remain in-house.
