OCHSNER HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking BC/BE NEONATOLOGISTS to join our expanding section of four to practice in several locations. Recent graduates and experienced neonatologists are invited to consider joining a rapidly growing section with 18 nurse practitioners, strong neonatal transport and ECMO programs, as well as a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialty support.
The Section of Neonatology at Ochsner covers one regional Level III NICU, two Level III NICUs, two Level II nurseries, and has strong referral relations with a number of other hospitals. The section is headed by Dr. Phillip Gordon, a national leader in NEC and spontaneous intestinal perforation research. Our NICUs and the entire Ochsner System employ electronic medical records. Additionally, our NICUs are members of the Vermont Oxford Network; thus there are excellent opportunities for clinical and quality improvement research. Pediatric residents and medical students rotate through Ochsner and complete the academic ambience of our multi-specialty group practice within the non-profit Ochsner Foundation.
Ochsner Children’s Health Center at Ochsner Medical Center is a large multi-specialty group practice with a strong commitment to state-of-the-art tertiary care, as well as primary care. We have a combined pediatric residency program with Tulane University School of Medicine. In addition, Ochsner Medical Center just opened a beautiful, state-of-the-art, 18-bed pediatric intensive care unit and three new pediatric wards. We are in the design phase of the Women’s and Infants’ Center, which will allow for further expansion of neonatal services.
