#24564 - Excellent Neonatology job opportunity at a level III NICU in Tennessee needing immediate locum tenens coverage. This facility has lost a couple of doctors and they have another one retiring. They have been getting by, but are now in need of locum tenens coverage to relieve the work load. It's a 60-bed unit that is almost full to capacity, but most of the babies there are feeders and growers. They're affiliated with the hospital across the street and that is where all surgical and highly acute patients are sent. This hospital employs two fellows, as well as nurse practitioners, and there are always two neonatologists on during the day. The four neonatologists will share call at night and call is taken from outside the hospital on beeper. The locums doctor will only be working at this hospital and will have no responsibilities at the more acute hospital. This is an academic position and a permanent opportunity exists for the right candidate.
