West Coast Neonatology, Inc., a 25-physician, neonatology group located in St. Petersburg, Florida, currently seeks two board certified neonatologists for its Port Charlotte site. One position exists for an experienced neonatologist who wants to start a new Level II unit at Peace River Hospital. A second position is also available that would accommodate a recently trained neonatologists at the same location.
Interested candidates should be board certified or eligible (less than three years after completing their training).
The group is employed by All Children's Hospital, a non-profit, full service pediatric hospital which is a major teaching affiliate of the University of South Florida. The selected candidates will be stationed at Peace River Hospital; a 300-bed facility located approximately 75 miles from St. Petersburg. Plans are underway for a new, seven bed, Level II unit to open in early 2008. This site performs approximately 1,600 deliveries per year and has on-site maternal/fetal medicine services.
The option exists to participate in the group's current academic and teaching activities.
