Abstract In this article, we discuss our study that quantitatively tests the validity of the assumption that fluid-filled NGC frequency responses adequately fit a second-order system. This assumption is inherent to equations commonly used to predict frequency responses from square-wave response techniques. We review our experiment in which we determined the frequency response of different catheter brands with a sine-wave generator, and we present the results.
