Title Incubator Control with Computer Assistance
Author(s) Paul H. Perlstein; Neil K. Edwards; Harry D. Atherton
Source Perinatology/Neonatology, Vol. 1, Pages 16-20
Publication Date July/August 1977
Abstract A computer previously programmed to control the heating within convectively heated incubators has now been further programmed to detect errors that can make an incubator environment uncontrollable. The error-detection and alarm program described reduces the percentage of time that incubators fail to respond predictably in the study nursery. [This article goes into more detail about algorithms, study methods, and results than Perlstein's other articles on the same topic.]
