Author(s) Robert S. Ledley and Lee B. Lusted
Source Science, Vol. 130, No. 3366, Pages 9-21
Publication Date July 3, 1959
Abstract This article analyzes the complicated reasoning processes inherent in diagnosis and shows how some of these processes can be reduced to logical diagrams that can be implemented as a computer program. The article is a strange mix of arbitrary case histories, perceptive analysis and comment, and idiosyncratic notations and diagrams.
